Hopebridge Autism Center
South Bend, Indiana
Working with Indianapolis developer Patch Development, Panzica was selected to design and build the latest in a nationwide network of Hopebridge Autism Therapy Centers.
Build at a time of post-COVID material shortages, the new 12,000 sq. ft. facility, on Generations Drive in the Foundation Center Office Park, was challenged by a budget that dictated the use of a basic pre-engineered steel structure in an office park having covenants highly restrictive of that type of construction. Panzica’s concept successfully resolved these issues by integrating the metal roof pitch into a single slope scheme that complemented a “zig-zag” pattern of stained wood-look synthetic fascia material.
The creative facade design further utilized decorative bands of adhered stone veneer, emulating the look and feel of limestone panels over a ledge stone base. This scheme was readily accepted in the park’s architectural review, resulting in a distinctive project that not only blended with its surroundings , but was completed on time and within the development teams’ tenant improvement requirements and economic goals.
