Tartan Fields Golf Club – Clubhouse Remodel
Dublin, Ohio
Panzica was again invited by nationwide hospitality and clubhouse design firm Thiel and Thiel to to join them as a team for the major renovation of this signature golf club on an Arnold Palmer-designed course in Dublin, Ohio.
Renovations included transforming excess pro-shop and locker room space into a dramatic new bistro area with dramatic 270o views of the course. A major expansion and renovation of the main dining and ballroom areas required the management of structural modifications and mechanical improvements without altering the building’s distinctive exterior architecture. A satellite commercial kitchen was constructed near the new bar area, and an expanzive new multi-level terrace was created including a fire pit.
Panzica contributed significant value-engineering such as reducing the cost of quartz bar tops by the use of custom-formulated cast stone achieving the designer’s bold vision at 1/3 the cost. Panzica also assisted the team with quickly finding creative, affordable solutions to hidden “as-built” conditions of the original facility that arose in the course of renovation.
The project was undertaken with most of the facility remained in use, and completed on-time to host an important spring golf tournament.
