The Surgery Center of Granger
Mishawaka, Indiana
Panzica Building Corporation with project partners Shive-Hattery Architects Valparaiso, Indiana office and Panzica Construction Company of Cleveland, Ohio together designed and built a state-of-the art, orthopedics-focused ambulatory surgery center. Jointly operated by Beacon Health System and Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Centers of Northern Indiana (OSMC), the new facility serves a broad area of Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan.
Comprising 23,300 square feet on approx. five acres on Beacon Parkway near Capital Ave., the site is at the Mishawaka exit of the I-80/90 Indiana Toll Road. It is west of and adjacent to Beacon Granger Hospital, also a Panzica design-build project. The facility includes four surgery suites, a procedure room, and twenty pre/post-op beds, some with overnight capacity.
The project has been planned to accommodate growing patient demand as a destination for orthopedics and pain management in the region. Panzica had prior provided master planning for the nearly 65-acre healthcare campus surrounding and including this site.
