Beacon Goshen Outpatient Center
Goshen, Indiana
Responding to the national trend toward more community-based diagnostic services, Panzica designed and built the Goshen Outpatient Center at 2222 Rieth Blvd. The new facility combines under one roof a wide variety of outpatient services including MedPoint Urgent Care; physical therapy; plus an imaging center with MRI, X-ray, CT scanning, ultrasound, mammography and bone density scanning. Beacon Medical Group Goshen specialists offering neurosurgery; ear, nose, and throat; cardiology; gynecology; hematology-oncology, and pain management are also on site.
The floor plan is organized around a spacious common central patient check-in/waiting area ringed by various practice and services “storefronts”. This is the second Beacon location to offer a new online registration process. Patients receive a link via text and complete most of their appointment registration even before they arrive and check-in at the facility via touchscreen kiosks.
Consistent with Panzica’s other Beacon projects, the new building incorporates Biophilic design principles to create a safe, warm, and welcoming patient environment incorporating daylight, strategic outdoor views, and representations of nature throughout the space. These principles emphasize a sustained engagement with nature to help reinforce patient well-being and promote beneficial outcomes.
